Post subject: The archive is either in unknown format or damaged?? HELP!
I recently backed up all my gd stuff as rar files onto DVD and did a full system restore, now i'm trying to get my stuff back and whenever i try to extract one of my files i get the above message. I've tried using ARAR but to no effect.

sounds like you are using an old version of WinRAR or the files are really damaged. Did you update and try the repair function within WinRAR?
