Post subject: windows media player 9 series Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsme>multimedia (more info?)
I hope someone understands this problem......I downloaded
the new version of windows media player 9 series from the
windows website.....now it has totally disabled the media
player.. it will not launch.....only message says.. " an
internal application error has occurred " what can be
done to rectify this problem....would anyone suggest an
alternative if I am unable to correct this problem.....

Having same problem. Please post to let us know if you
find a solution. WMP9 does not run with IE6sp1 on Me,
regularly updated. I have already tried that which is
posted on zachd.com, without success. One user updated to
WMP9, and it does not work. He is mad at me (and Me!)
because I don't have a fix. He is also having other
problems with IE6, already posted elsewhere. TIA Peter
