Post subject: windows live sign up Archived from groups: microsoft>public>win98>gen_discussion (more info?)
I had access to this group for years in OE newsgroups but I can't access them
anymore so I had to signup for this windows live thing. what is up with
this? I couldn't use my e-mail address (verizon.net)
" The portion of your e-mail address that follows the @ symbol is part of a
"reserved domain" such as live.com, hotmail.com, msn.com or passport.com.
Please type a different e-mail address. "
and had to go thru all this **** just to post ?s. Why is this happening?
how can I get my newsgroups back? Why is MS making life so hard?

Point your newsreader to this NNTP host:
nntp.aioe.org
You don't have to use the microsoft NNTP server to read/write messages
to the microsoft newsgroups. By using the aioe server, you will have
access to all non-binary newsgroups.

this newsgroup through news.microsoft.com using OE.What am I missing here?
