Post subject: cannot see windows files Archived from groups: microsoft>public>win98>display>general (more info?)
Suddenly i cannot see C:\Windows files
(on the right side of the windows explorer)
if i choose view>"as web page" AND "details".
Note that everything is OK with all other folders
except C:\windows and C:\windows\system.
How can i get it back (meaning: get back the message
"show (all) files")
MY computer is clean, no virus or other malware

FIRST
i'ed check to see if show all types is actully checked when you are on the system file. it could be you have do not show hiddden or system files checked for this particular folder.
in other words the view all file types may not be global.
