Post subject: win95 dcc
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>win95>networking (more info?)

I have a tester running in win95 OS platform, and I decided to connected to
our LAN of two testers running in winXP. Due to space inside the chasis this
tester lacks of a network card, so I used the db9 rs 232 serial port to
connect to a one of the tester running win XP. I can stablish communication
between the guest computer which runs win95, and the Host computer running XP
and access the folders in the host PC. But I cannot stablish any
communication between the win95 PC and the second winXP PC. Even though, I
can find the second PC in my neighbordhood, but I cannot ping it in either
direction. The windows firewall is OFF in both win XP PC's. All three PC's
have fixed IP addresses.
Can any one shed some light on me on this matter

Thanks?
