Well, this is a Windows 2000 group but is the Windows Firewall service
running?
Start
Run
"services.msc" (no quotes)
Enter
Check and see if it is started - if not then start it.
If it is running then maybe malware? Maybe a third party firewall, security
suite, application has disabled it?
