When I playback any movie trailor or voice in Media Player, the voice sounds
like it has been speed up, sounding like munchkins. Any suggestions on how
to slow it down?

Start by having a look at Zach's various suggestions on his website
supporting WMP. Specifically http://www.zachd.com/pss/pss.html#dsound

This was no help. The voices sound like chipmunks. What should I try next?

I'm sorry but the link I gave took you to the wrong section. Nevertheless
I'm pretty amazed that you have been able to read all of Zach's site and
try his suggestions in the 24 minutes since my post.
See Zach's section headed:
"Q: I'm having sound problems (muffledness, echoes, errors, speed issues,
etc). which is at http://www.zachd.com/pss/pss.html#audio.

Mike,
I quickly scanned the site for the speed problem. I now notice that all my
sounds sound like they are on speed.
