Hi
I set up the desktop I want to use. I'm logged into a workstation as a
local admin. I try to copy the setting to the netlogon share and I get the
following error: Contents of netlogon share cannot be deleted. Delete
contents and retry.

1. Any reason why the current settings can't be deleted?
2. I know I should know this, and I've been checking around, but I can't
locate the dumb share on the server. I see it from the workstation when I try
to copy it to the server but I can't see it on the server.
3. I've unhidden all files/folder, all paths, all system folders etc. When
I search for it nothing comes up.

Sorry for the dumb question but I'm done.

Hello P. Cully,

The netlogon share is the folder "scripts" that you can find under c:\windows\sysvol\sysvol\domain.com\

If I have logon scripts in this folder and I just copy the profile will it
blow out the logon scripts or leave them in place?

Hello P. Cully,

I have never had problems copying files to the folder with an account belonging
to the domain admins group.

Best regards

I would caution against throwing something such as this in your netlogon
share. Why would you possibly need it and then anything placed in there
will be replicated for all to see.

What are you trying to do? Create a roaming profile? Please define what it
is you specifically want to accomplish and the users in this community
should be able to help. Also this really isn't a good place for this
question (Other than you are attempting to use the NetLogon share).
