Post subject: IE 6 cannot resolve DNS
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>win98>networking (more info?)

I have a home computer
running Windows ME

I went to install a Linskys wireless router
It did not work I believe I fully Un-installed it

Now I have a problem , IE 6 cannot resolve any DNS
I have to manually enter an IP address into IE 6 to open a web page

I have Verizon DSL

The Verizon tech was very helpfull and walked me through everything and

gave me three IP's for Verizon DNS servers

I can perfectly ping all three servers

Windows ME does not have a DNS client that I am aware of

Any suggestions

Thank You Toms RIver

Try running WINIPCFG and first Release All, then Renew All. Not sure that
will help, but it's worth a try.
