Outlook Express 6
New setup due to failing laptop
XP home updated regularly
HP pavillion 1 GHz processor
AVG free
Can send email
cannot receive
Charter.net does not support OE, they want use of email from their homepage
(which works OK) I spent a hour going over settings on phone to no avail.
I have double checked settings without success., time out error as posted by
clickrs on 5/11/08 for comcast.
windows live email client will not install, says Microsoft server error

What happens when you try to receive mail? Post any error messages in their
entirety.
