Post subject: rebooting when print selected Archived from groups: microsoft>public>win98>printing (more info?)
When I start printing, w98 system reboots for no reason, immediately. It's a
dot matrix printer on a parallel port on another computer on the network.
Only happens on this printer (there are other printers attached) and since a
software update. Doesn't happen when using this printer from another pc.

What "software update" occurred before this started happening? A Windows
Update? Some other application? The printer software itself, or drivers?

Application software was updated. Other software on this PC does not cause
re-booting.

What is the software? Does undoing the update to that software resolve the
problem? Can you reapply the update manually?
