Hello friends , when ever i on the system i get this msg , pls help me
out what i have to do. I dont have WINDOWS XP CD ... Pls help me.
files that are required for windows to run properly have been replaced
by unrecognised versions. To maintain system stability, Windows must
restore the original versions of these files
Insert your Windows XP Professional service pack 2 CD now.
More information
You have inserted the wrong CD, (i.e , a different windows product CD
than the version installed)
The CD-ROM drive in your system is not functioning.

It would appear that if YOU don't have a "Windows XP Professional service
pack 2 CD", then certainly SOMEONE ELSE with access to your PC has
attempted to run one on it!
As you've posted to a WinMe news group, then I ASS-U-ME that your 'regular'
operating system was WinMe.
Depending on how far the XP installation had completed - and by the sounds
of it, probably much too far for any sort of viable recovery/restoration -
you probably have no choice but to start over and clean install WinMe again.
I hope that at least you have your original WinMe installation CD(s) and
User Manuals etc.
