Post subject: When I insert win-me to install I am getting a message "You need to create MS-DOS partition". Archived from groups: microsoft>public>win95>msdosapps (more info?)
When I insert win-me to install I am getting a message "You need to
create MS-DOS partition". I think initially i had installed win 2000.
So its NTFS. Now i want to install win-me. Please tell me how to
create a partition with FAT-32.

You will have to use Fdisk to remove the NTFS partition and create a new
one then you will have to format the new partition.
Depending on how your disk is partitioned there are times when you can
get caught up in what I call the "Logical Drive Loop" if you try
removing NTFS partitions with Fdisk. Fdisk tells you it can't delete
the partition because it contains a logical drive, then if you try to
delete the logical drive it says it can't delete it. It those cases use
Delpart.exe to remove the partitions.
