I am attempting to download a WMV file from an e-mail attachment from my son.
I keep getting this error code - 800C0008. The Windows Media starts up
automatically whenever I click 'download'. I don't even get a choice to open
the download or to save it first. Can anybody help? My version of Media
Player is 9.

Try using 'Save Target as', rather than opening the file direct.

Presumably you're using a webmail interface, rather than an email client?
