Post subject: IE 7 Add to elertz
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>inetexplorer>ie6>browser (more info?)

I've been trying for hours just to get here to post this question. Big probs.
Please help Sad I have Windows XP. I've had IE 7 for what seems like forever.
It won't load most of the time. I'm having pop-ups like crazy-have blocker
on. Can't get even get on the internet most of the time. I have to use task
manager just to get to my desk top at times. Have online classes starting
soon. what am I going to do? I've ran spybot and adware a million times.
can't even do on line searches most of the time to go try to find solutions.
Any and all help will be more appreciated than you'll ever know. OH! I
thought I'd try uninstalling IE 7 and reinstalling or something. In my
add/remove there is no button to select anything on my IE7. I can't uninstall
it. Has anyone ever heard of all this?

Please try the IE7 group.
The recommended newsgroup is microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

In a proper newsreader:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

If you must use a web interface:
http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=...rosoft.

I apologize if I'm posting in the wrong place. I've tried a hundred times to
get to other locations but this is it. Please help.

Please try once more. Many of us here in the IE6 group have never used
IE7.
Copy and paste the address I supplied.

You should consider using a proper newsreader if the slow and quirky
web interface is not to your satisfaction.

I've replied to your post in IE General, Cherry:

Please post any further follow-up to that thread.

I want to help but I need more information. Do you have anti virus software,
if so what is it and is it up to date? Do you have anti spyware anti malware
software, if so what is it? What exactly happens when you try to open IE 7?
Do you get an error message, if so what does it say? What exactly happens
when you turn on the computer and try and acess the desktop? Get back to me.
OK I may have some suggestions that will help you out. Go to microsoft.com
and download a program called Windows defender. It is free and it prevents
pop ups. As far as spyware and adware fist to be thorough I would run a
virus scan to eliminate the possibility of that. Go to www.avast.com and
download the free software. It is the best anti virus software. Then
download Super Anti Spyware from www.superantispyware.com/ and run a full
scan. Then lets also try to eliminate unnescary files. Go to
www.cccleaner.com download it and run the cleaner. Email me back and let me
know what happens.
Best regards,
Kaja
