Post subject: New PnP database for old OS?
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>win98>pnp (more info?)

Is there any way to add to win98 the ability to recognise new devices that
newer OSes would see out of the box?

Newer PnP devices have vendor and device identifiers that 98 doesn't know...
Can't some files be added that would extend the list of recognised devices?

Thanks.
Rich
