Try removing"unusual" auto-starting entries. You can use, among other
possible methods, either msconfig or autoruns (SysInternals) to accomplish
this.

I am also having the same exact issue and I know that the whole thing is
caused by spyware. The spyware issue is a whole other issue altogether, but
I get the same error message and cannot enable automatic updates. Hoping
someone will come along on this post and offer us a solution! HELP!

I have same problem. I think this is the Windows Security system problem
also, because Windows was attacted by spyware or virus then caused this
happened. I hope have update from Windows soon and can be downloaded by
manual.

I just fixed the Error 1058 with 'Malwarebytes AnitVirus'
ERROR 1058 the services cannot start either because it is disabled or
because it has no enable devise accouiated with it.
