Post subject: Cannot add new identity Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>inetexplorer>ie6_outlookexpress (more info?)
After much fussing trying to get my messages back, I created a new problem.
I cannot create a new identity. When it asks if I want to switch to the new
identity I'm trying to create, OE switches to the new identity, asks for the
approrpriate information, then hangs.

Search for folders.dbx (hidden) and delete the copy you find for the
Identity you are switching to and see if that fixes it. See

First get fully patched at Windows Update, then see if the behavior
persists.
