purchased a new computer with Vista. How do I transfer all games, documents
etc from old computer to new one?

Can I use a memory stick?

You can use any portable storage devise you have. Probably something that
works with USB (1.1 or 2.0 doesn't matter).

For data like documents, photos, MP3s, etc. yes. For programs, you will
have to reinstall them on the Vista computer and most of them probably
won't work if they were made for Me or 98.

Hell, if they were made for XP, they may not work.

Have you posted this question in the Vista forum? I thought Vista had a
feature to bring over software from your old computer.

Trish,
I never used it, but Vista has a function called Windows Easy Transfer.
Supposed to be able to transfer Files and Folders, E-mail Settings, Program
Settings, etc.: using cable, CD/DVD's, or USB sticks. Do search in Help and
Support for Easy Transfer.

Like Corday said you would probably want to check Vista support group first
to see if the have suggestions.

Trish, just did quick look in Vista group. Seems Easy Transfer only works
with XP.
