I've never been a user of TweakUI, because I saw cautions against it at
the time of consideration. It was said MS no longer supported it, &
there was a list of settings dangerous to use. I chose to use...

X-Setup
....which did Registry tweaks & more. Subsequently, I've uninstalled even
that, thinking it was too large with tentacles in unwanted places. But
it showed one the coding of every tweak & was a great teaching tool.

I couldn't have gotten it that way. I may have picked it up from X-Setup
or from "Windows 98 Secrets" (Livingston/Straub).

That can't be the only way. I've now removed PersistBrowsers...
....& will know for sure next boot whether that's it.

UPDATE: Yep, removing that key caused open folders not to open at
reboot. They also failed to open when the following was added...
SO... the 1st must be present & the 2nd must not. That's that.
