I know with Server 2003, MS used to email you a product key for trial
versions. I have now downloaded Server 2008 Trial Version and have no product
key. Anyone know how to get one?

You won't need one for trial.

Thanks Dave.
It would be nice if Microsoft told you that

Hmm, I know it should work like you said, but I've just made a clean
installation of MS Windows Server 2008 today, I chose Standard Server and no
product key. After installation and login I see only the activation screen
saying "Windows license has expired". What's wrong?

You might check your BIOS's date settings to make sure they're accurate.
Just a thought, since the trial expires after a certain date and may
be seeking a license after that date.
