Post subject: Windows Me 2000 dll servn error message when trying to download Ja Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsme>general (more info?)
I receive a dll error message when I try to open up a java based
software"lime wire" music file sharing software. Does any one have any
solutions to this dll error message?.
The dll error message is "dll error servn file is missing".

A good point to start would be to establish which operating system you are
using. Is it Windows 2000 or Windows Millennium (Win Me)? The two are
very different and in many cases require totally different software
versions. For example running software intended for Win 2000 (and also
XP) on a system running Win Me often gives dll errors as the underlying
dynamic libraries (dlls) are often substantially different.
