Post subject: USB memory stick Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsme>hardware (more info?)
I need help to access the files on my memory stick that I'm plugging into my
USB. I clicked skip when windows was looking for some files. I believe
there were 2 usb*.* files but I did not write down the names. Does anyone
know what I need to do?

Run System Restore and roll back to BEFORE you started to install your USB
stick, then start again. (It just makes life a little easier!)
When it reports the missing files, you'll need to browse (navigate) to the
C:Windows\Options\Instal or CABS folder, where there *should* be a complete
copy of your WinMe Setup files and the installation of the USB files should
then continue.
(The folder which you should be looking for [Instal or CABS] is the one
containing a whole series of .cab files - including BASE2.CAB which contains
the two required files.)
Good luck
