I think CTRL-F3 will show the message source for the Drafts folder also if
the message is open in the Preview pane. CTRL-F2 will show the HTML source
code of a message.

I guess there would be two answers, depending on what you mean:
1.
Press CTRL-F3. It will display all the source code, headers and all,
for any message which has been downloaded and is highlighted or in your
Send or Drafts folder. It'll work on any folder the e-mail has been
downloaded in. Try it; with a little effort, you can learn to tell what
path the mail took in getting to you.
2.
Another method is, if it's an HTML or Rich Text email you are sending,
look at the tabs at the bottom of the screen and click the "Source" tab.
You'll only see the code you produced and not the whole envelope, but
.... I'm just covering off the different bases.
If you aren't seeing the Edit, Source, Preview tabs at the bottom of
an HTML mail you are composing, then click View; Source Edit; to display
them.

What's wrong with just right-clicking at the top of the message, going to
Properties and then Details?
