We want to enable separator pages on 3 network printers (all
Postscript) using Properties->Advanced->Separator Pages, but get
different behavior on each one:

Konica-Minolta 5510: Works perfectly.

Konica-Minolta 600: Separator page prints, then a blank page, then an
error page:
PostScript Error Handler
Offending Command = @PJL
Error = nametype : undefined
Stack =

Nothing else prints.

HP LaserJet 2300: Error page prints (no separator page), then the job
prints normally. Error page says:
PostScript Error Handler
Offending Command = sho
Error = nametype : undefined
Stack =
SERVERNAME\LaserJet 2300 PS

All 3 printers have Postscript drivers and are configured with the
sysprint.sep separator page.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Based on the second case it seems like your separator has PJL commands in
it. Maybe the 600 variant didn't have it implemented but 5510 has?

The LaserJet however has had PJL for ages so i would suspect an error in the
separator page that causes it to fail. Or maybe the printer just chooses the
wrong language due to the PJL -- PCL instead of PS for instance.

If you send the sep definition we might be able to help...
