Post subject: THE PRINTER HAS LOST COMMUNICATION WITH THE PRINTER PORT

Hi!
i wonder if someone can help with this.

i have HP DESKJET 722C Hewlet P... printer
i am using windows 98 SE
the cable is fine no holes, no pins missing and yes it is all hooked up properly.
it prints a test page just fine.

in fact it prints just fine. everyting is working fine. i add a print job still fine. i add another and soon it just stops working and i get the error message

"THE PRINTER HAS LOST COMMUNICATION WITH THE PRINTER PORT."

what causes this?

i saw some place on line that had some kind of fix for this. i think it was in dos but i can't find it.

how can i fix this?
