I would like to use my OE address book for mail merge for labels, etc. In MS
Works Suite 2006 Task Launcher programs I get error messages such as "there
are not enough data fields in record X", "choose the record delimiter" which
is actually a paragraph mark in OE and there are no paragraph marks to choose
from in the record delimiters list that pops up. Also the program doesn't
seem to recognize the .csv format in which the Address book is saved. Can
anyone help?

Hi,

As I asked in your post on the Microsoft Works news group, what program are
you using in Microsoft Works?

When any program is open, you should find "About" on the Help menu, this
will have information about the program.

Works is a conglomeration of different programs.

If you exported the address book in .csv (comma separated values) format,
the delimiter is a comma.

The data fields delimiter is a comma. What is the records delimiter? It seems
to be a Paragraph mark but that is not a choice in the Records Delimiter
dropdown. How do I fix this?

I am using MS Word 2002 in Works ver. 8.5. The problem seems to be in Header
Record delimiters.

How to create a Mail Merge
http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/MailMerge/CreateAMailMerge.htm

You can perform a Mail Merge in various Word versions, in many cases using
OE Address Book, to print standard labels for, say, Christmas cards or
newsletter mailings. Much depends on the version of Word version in use:

Word 97: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=195609

Word 2000: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=212034

Word 2002: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=294683
