Post subject: Network interface speed and duplex Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsnt>registry (more info?)
In Windows 2000/2003/XP/Vista, network interface settings are stored below
the followins registry key:
This key is blank in Windows NT4. Is there a way in Windows NT 4.0 to find
the network interfaces that are currently running/active in a particular
system from a programming perspective (i.e. API, registry, etc.)? I would
like to be able to identify the speed and duplex settings for the currently
active network interface (I am aware these are driver specific). How can I
determine in Windows NT 4.0 which interface is currently active and which
driver key in the registry contains the current settings. This should be
possible as Windows is able to capture this info from the TCP/IP properties.
All times are: Eastern Time (US & Canada) (change)
