Hi all,
I have a question, I need to backup some files on my NT Server with NTBACKUP
utility, but I haven't a tape backup, how I can backup with this utility on
a file?
Novell Netware 5 have the same problem, but I find a virtual driver and this
virtual driver work as a tape backing up the data on a file previusly
configured.
NTBACKUP have the same solution or another similar?

As far as I know the NT4 version of NTBackup can only backup to tapes.

Yes John John,
NTBACKUP in Windows NT 4.0 only backup on tape, I need a virtual tape
emulator, to write my backup in disk drive, because a tape backup is
expensive.

Here's a suggestion, Gustavo Gustavo. Hunt eBay for an old DDS2 tape
drive. It will cost you next to nothing. Damn, I think I may even
have a couple of them laying around in the basement bonepile...

The only virtual tape emulator I'm aware of is cdrtape:
It installs fine and is recognized as a tape. However, I have never seriously
used it to backup my system, so I don't know in depth how it proves itself in
daily use.
