After clicking onto internet explorer to select a website, I minimize it to
keep it in the task bar. However whwn I click onto internet explorer to
select another website, the first one will not remain in the task bar & gets
replaced by the second one. Therefore I am unable to save more than one
internet explorer item in the task bar. This has only happened recently,
before then all mininmized pages were being saved.

Hi Steve,
Try the setting for 'Reuse windows for launching shortcuts' on the Advance
tab of Internet Settings

Tools/Internet Options menu, select the Advance tab, scroll down to find
'Reuse windows for launching shortcuts', uncheck.

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced.
Uncheck "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts".

Also, if you have Yahoo Companion, Google toolbar, MSN toolbar, a firewall,
Earthlink (or another pop-up blocker) My IE2 (a shell for IE) etc.
Yahoo Companion is a very common cause.

You'll have to turn off the feature that's blocking new windows or, perhaps,
uninstall the program (especially uninstall Yahoo Companion).

With some programs of this type, using Ctrl+click or Shift+click will allow
a new window.

If you're *sure* that another program isn't causing this, these links may
help.
