Mapping a server with alias

Hello,

I have a server called "serveroriginal" I'm using to access the share called
"sharefolder"
\\serveroriginal\sharefolder

I have an alias for the same server called "serveralias" and when I try to
access the share with
\\serveralias\sharefolder
I am getting an error:
a duplicate name exists on the network

** I release alaredy the previous access to the share
