Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>inetexplorer>ie6>browser (more info?)

When I click a link on a website, the link won't open. If I right click the
link and select either "open" or "open in new window", it works fine.

Is there something in the settings that will correct this? I've searched
around and came-up with no answer.

Thanks for you help....

Hi,
Assuming Windows XP...

First...
Is IE6 the default browser? Check that at Control Panel> Add or remove
programs> Set program access and defaults.

Next...
Try the file association fixes for HTM/HTML and URL file types at
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm

Hope this helps,
Don
