Are downloads of IE 6 still available? I could only find a download of SP 1
for IE 6 on the MS website.
If not, is IE 7 compatible with Windows 2000, as it is only advertised as
being compatible with Win XP?
I intend to replace my PC with one running Vista later in the year (when I
can afford one with the necessary resources!), but until then I want to
continue with my existing system.

Yes, IE6 is still available. IE6 SP1 is there as you have already
found out. It is a full version, not a patch as you seem to think.
