Post subject: Can IEAK change menus? Add to elertz Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>inetexplorer>ie6>ieak (more info?)
I am rolling some intranet kiosk machines, and my deoployment is pretty good
until a new window opens, and then there are menus that can be used to
"search" for websites.
Can IEAK edit IE menus to hide or remove the search option under
View>Explorer Bar
or eveb hide the View option??
can GPO do this?

IEAK and GPO can customize the menus, but I not certain about turning off the Search function itself. I do know that you can customize which search engine to use.
Just passing my two cents worth... sorry couldn't have been more helpful
