Greetings,
I cannot join many sites. I type in my name & e-mail but when I click
"JOIN" a Security Alert pops up saying "your current security
settings do not allow you to send HTML forms". I add the site to my
Trusted Zone where everything is allowed but I still get the security
alert.
A working unsecure OS is infinitely better than non-working secure OS.
Just spent 1 week cleaning up the mess WUpdate made preventing
hypothetical security problems. http://microscum.com/comsense/

# Click start >> Control Panel >> Double Click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options, on the IE Properties window
you will see these Options:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs
| Advanced .
Click on General Tab (1st Tab on the left) and you will see a Button called
[ Clear History ..] click on it to clear your History caches, then click on
[Delete Files..] to delete Internet Files created over the time, click on [
Delete Cookies...] to delete your cookies left by visiting websites.
Click Privacy Tab then click on Sites Button and amke sure these sites not
been blocked or assigned as Restricted or Blcked.
Click Adavnced Tab and clucik on the reset Button this assuming you have IE7.
Most Security Software have a list of websites assigned by default to be
restricted in their Hosts file so if you have such a security software check
it and remove the site(s) from the restricted zone.

Always state your IE version and full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3;
Vista SP1) when posting to this newsgroup, please.

A. IE Tools | Internet Options | Security | [zone (e.g., Trusted Sites*;
Internet) | Custom Level (button) | Miscellaneous | Submit nonencrypted form
data (select Enable or Prompt) | OK your way out.
*I would NOT run the URL in question in Trusted Sites zone unless
absolutely necessary!
B. If no joy, reset Web Settings per the following:
1. Close all IE windows.
2. Start | Settings | Control Panel | Internet Options:
=> Programs (tab) | click on Reset Web Settings button;
=> Advanced (tab) | click on Restore Defaults button | in the Browsing
section, uncheck "Enable third-party browser extensions";
=> OK your way out.
3. Reboot (for good measure).
