Is there a way of deploying power management settings via group policy I
can't find any settings for it.

Terry.

Hello tel,

If you use at least one Vista or server 2008 you can use the Group policy
preferences. Additional you have to install the Client side extensions on
the workstations. Please describe your OS you are using.

If you are using Windows XP or Vista you could use Data Synergy's Power
Manager PowerMan product (www.datasynergy.co.uk). This allows you to
configure all kinds of power management stuff using group policy. I think
they also have a monitoring mode where you can watch power usage over time
and try and target problem computers.

we deployed the product from http://www.terranovum.com/index.html on our
sites. works pretty good. there is a small client to push through GPO then
you can control XP and 2000 PCs.
oh, its FREE!
