For some unknown reason on the Format tab of my New Message window, the
Style, Font, Paragraph, etc is grayed out and also the Formatting bar is
greyed out. What it the fix here? How can I open a New Message box with
these formatting features in place as I have had in the past? All help is
appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Fran

Click on a spot in the message text area. Is the Format Bar still grayed
out?

Bruce, sorry for the delay in responding to you. No, when I click in the
message text area the Formatting bar becomes "un-grayed." Awaiting your
comments/suggestions to fix this.
Gratefully,
Fran

I must be missing something here. If you put the cursor in the message body
area and the Format Bar becomes un-grayed, and usable, then what are you
asking?

New message windows open with the cursor in the To field. The To field
cannot be formatted, so formatting options are grayed out.
You are not going to start typing your message until you put the cursor in
the message text area.
