Format pc

before formatting there was 3 partition but after fortmatting the harddisk only 2 left. Are the 3rd partition got formatted and can i find it. peachy

You don't format hard drives, you format partions. Perhaps you deleted the third partion, then created a new one the filled what ever space was left. You won't be able to retrive what ever data with out some data recovary software, http://www.grc.com/ (SpinRite) is very good aparently.
