Post subject: Event log - ID 5504 Archived from groups: microsoft>public>win2000>security (more info?)
I am getting many repeated messages:
The DNS server encountered an invalid domain name in a packet from x.x.x.x.
The packet is rejected.
Th address in question is not in my domain nor my sub-net. This W2K server
receiving this message is behind a firewall. I get repeated events for the
same IP address then later on I get repeated events for another IP.
What is causing this? And, what can I do about it?
