Hi Dave;

Just an update... Once I removed the Microsoft Wireless Mouse & Keyboard and
reverted back to my original ones the error promptly went away - go figure!

Had same error message after installing new microsoft wireless keyboard 3000 and Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000. Called my brother and we agreed that "Control Panal" "Administrative Tools" "Component Services" "Services Local" "HID Input Service""Start Type""manual" does the trick. Good luck

knowitall comes through again. lol
