Post subject: Convert MTS/M2TS files to other video formats like AVI,MP4

Sony, Panasonic, Canon and other brands of AVCHD camcorders are all store recorded videos in .MTS or .M2TS format. Besides, Blu-ray disc also keeps video files in the format of .m2ts. While the two formats do not get native supports of most video players, editors, or mobile devices, camcorder users and blu-ray movie owners have to search for a practical tool to help them convert these MTS/M2TS files to other common video formats, so that they can share these files with friends and family members, or import to video editors for further editing, or do something else without troubles. Suppose you are in this condition, you must come to the right place, because this guide will show you how to convert MTS/M2TS files to other video formats like AVI, MP4, WMV, FLV, etc. via Pavtube MTS/M2TS Converter step by step.

Step 0: Download, install and run Pavtube MTS/M2TS Converter.

 <<-- click to expand

Step 1: Click “Add” to load MTS and M2TS files.

Step 2: Click the drop-down list of “Format” to select output format. Here I choose AVI for example.

Step 3: Press “Convert” button to start conversion.

Step 4: Click “Open” button to find out the output files.

Tips: other functions you may need

1. How to edit your MTS and M2TS files?

Click on the tag “Edit”, and it provides you with several editing functions, including “Crop”, “Trim”, “Text Watermark”, “Image/Video Watermark”, “Effect”, and “Audio Replace”. Using these functions, you can cut off black edges, adjust aspect ratio, set video duration, add various sorts of watermarks and special effects, and take place of the original audio with your specified audio files.

2. How to set advanced settings?

If you want to do some changes on video and audio parameters, you can click on “Settings” button to realize it. The pop-up window will allow you to adjust bit rate, frame rate, codec, aspect ratio, sample rate, and so on.

3. How to join multiple MTS and M2TS files?

If you would like to put several files into one output file, please tick the check box of “Merge into one file”.
