My pc is brain dead, trying to do most any thing gives me a Microsoft
Internet Explorer message
"Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this
page. As a result, the page may not display correctly"
And in fact pages don't disply anything.
I feel I lost needed files when I found keystroke software and had to reboot
to finish removal using XSPY spyware software.
I also haven't been able to find any of my software that came with my sony
vaio, or the boot up disk I made years ago.
any idea's would be appretiated

Did you by any chance activate the 'Immunize Wizard' at one time?

Clay,
Do you have a System Restore point for a time just before you made these
'improvements?' That would be the quickest and safest way to put you back
where you were before you did the cleaning. Another thought, (I am not
familiar with the software you used to 'fix' your machine) is there a backup
of the files removed in the application you used? Most of the good cleaning
and spyware/malware applications have a restore feature for just the
situation you have experienced.
If you resort to the System Restore, be sure to pick the newest point
before the event that caused the issue. Nice thing about SR points, they
are reversable!
