Post subject: IE Acess Denied Error Message Add to elertz
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>inetexplorer>ie6>ieak (more info?)

Hi. I hope I've joined the right group to get an answer to my
problem.

In IE 6 when trying to access the visual editor in Word Press for a
website, I get an Error on Page message in the status bar that says:

"Problems with this Web page might prevent it from being displayed
properly or functionin properly. In the future, you can display this
message by double-clicking the warning icon displayed in the status
bar."

Then below that appears:

Line: 184
Char: 290
Error: Access is Denied
URL: http://www.goodbadandunread.com/wp.admin/post.php?

I searched the net and found this page:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/889407

which fits my situation to a T. Exactly. I have installed XP SP2 and
use IE 6. I followed the regedit instructions listed there precisely,
rebooted, but the problem still exists.

Any help would be so appreciated. Don't know if this helps, but when
I was added by the domain site to use the WP visual editor, I was able
to get in with just a refresh of the page, worked in it with no
problem. It's the next day that I was denied access.

Thank you in advance for any help!

Sandy

Did you login first?

BTW an IEAK newsgroup is not the best place to try to diagnose
this in. Try IE General instead. Cross-posting for convenience.

Archived from groups: per prev. post (more info?)

Hi, Robert

Yes, I was signed in when I followed the specified instructions. I
then closed IE per the instructions and finished those out. Is there
anything else that can be done now?

And thank you for directing me to the proper group!

Sandy
