Hello. I have a multiboot system running 98SE, XP Pro SP3 and Ubuntu. I
bought a 1GB stick of RAM for a Dell computer that matches the specs of my
motherboard perfectly. The RAM is recognized fine by XP and Ubuntu. When I
try to boot into 98 I get the 98 boot screen for a moment and then I get the
following error:

"Insufficient memory to initialize windows.

Quit one or more memory-resident programs or remove unnecessary utilities
from your CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT files, and restart your computer.

Press any key to continue..."

Pressing any key causes the computer to shut off. When I remove the Dell RAM
and boot into 98 with the remaining 512MB of RAM it boots just fine.

Does anyone have an idea how to remedy this?

Thank you very much.
Jeremy
