Had a 2000 server as a domain controller and installed a 2003 server. I ran
the forest and domain prep on the 2000 box, made the 2003 a domain
controller and transferred all the roles to the 2003 box. DNS is currently
on both machines with the 2003 box now being primary and 2000 secondary.
DNS is working fine and no replication or any other errors on either box.
2003 will process logins fine and all seems well... except for one thing.
Demoted the 2000 box and now I cannot access it from the 2003 box. Get
network unavailable or access denied depending on what I'm doing. Can
access the 2003 from the 2000 without a problem. I tried removing the 2000
box from the domain and rejoining it, but that didn't help.

As it turns out, the old 2000 box won't allow anyone to connect to any of
its resources.
