xp audio device problem

Post subject: xp audio device problem
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>device_driver>dev (more info?)

i have a problem in installing the audio device driver from my
motherboard cd
i.e my O.S. does not take in the driver whereas it in took all the
other drivers
i have dual O.S. (VISTA & XP) the same audio driver was taken in by
VISTA
plz help my motherboard is INTEL D-31 EXPRESS CHIPSET
I am very much in problem due to this !!!
so plz help

Usually it is my experience that Vista and XP do not use the same
drivers. Check below for a Audio Driver

i tried but it is giving me an error!!!!
it is telling me
"INSTALL REALTEK HD AUDIO DRIVER FAILURE
Error Code:0xE0000227"
plz help me!!!!

I have also face the same problem. The sound driver would not work for xp in your current position.

try to download the software from intel website and install the driver and check it . it may be possible that sound could be mute please check it

I am getting error message as "there is problem in your audio device or it is
not installed properly.
