What does this mean? Please clarify. If you are saying that pressing certain
key combinations starts a mathematics program and you don't want this,
configure your keyboard with its configuration utility. Look in Control
Panel for it or in Programs or even read the keyboard manual (if there is
one).

Ask you son to reverse whatever it is he did.

I was wondering if you ever got a competent response from anyone about your
keyboard problems. The only responses I see are pretty stupid and unhelpful.

I have the same keyboard and when I hit certain keys, I do not get the
letters I want. Example: If I type the letter "m", I get "6m". I have tried
everything and cannot fix it. It's very strange becasue this keyboard worked
fine until about 2 months ago so, I am thinking that somehow, I hit a
combinations of keys that changed it into a different mode. If you ever got
an answer how to reset the keyboard to its' original stae, I would love to
know.

I do not have a wireless keyboard but do have a wireless mouse. Have you
tried repositioning the receiver and/or
moving noise (electronic noise) producing devices away? Reposition some
hardware devices.

The responses to the original post which you slate as "pretty stupid and
unhelpful" and, by implication, incompetent were:

1) "What does this mean? Please clarify. If you are saying that pressing
certain key combinations starts a mathematics program and you don't want
this, configure your keyboard with its configuration utility. Look in
Control Panel for it or in Programs or even read the keyboard manual (if
there is one)."

Well, would you say "locked my... keyboard... onto mathematics" is a
thorough description of the problem, enabling others to help? It's clearly a
keyboard- or mathematics software-specific issue, and the original poster
didn't give any further information when asked to.

2) "Ask you son to reverse whatever it is he did."

Fair enough comment - sometimes the obvious is overlooked, or the reasons
why it can't be done not given, which in turn could unearth further
background.

Would you care to justify your comment on these being stupid, unhelpful and
incompetent? As is so often the case in these groups, there was no reply
from the original poster - none of the detail requested was forthcoming, nor
even a note saying the problem was resolved here or elsewhere, if that's
what happened. What do you make of *that* discourtesy?

Further to Malke's reply, have *you* checked out any configuration utility
or manual for your keyboard? If you've tried, you need to tell us. If you
haven't tried, why not?

Tried reinstalling the keyboard's drivers or any proprietary software that
came with it? Does the manufacturer have a website or forum you can check
for support/FAQs etc?
