Hey Mikey I have tried from scratch soon as I plug in the the 4 ported
adaptor xp says this is malfunctioning. I have tried it on the front and rear
usb on the pc and the same applies. The device manager says unknown device !
and now it says the same for my usb external HHD and cam, and the properties
say no drivers installed for the unknown devices does this mean that I have
lost the drivers for the usb ports? My motherboard is Abit. any idears.
regards Wills

Take a look at this web site:
http://www.robvanderwoude.com/devcon.html

With DEVCON and the web site's RenewUSB.BAT can help to reset the USB
devices.
