Post subject: unable to use add/remove windows components Add to elertz Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>newusers (more info?)
when i try to add/remove windows components a command prompt box appears with
C:\WINDOWS\system32\sysocmgr.exe and closes and nothing appears. I tried
install components with the xp disk with same result. anybody have some
helpfull ideas. thanks

Go to run,type:cmd Install xp cd,exit the menu page,in cmd type:Sfc /Scannow
When its thru,type:CHKDSK C: /F Agree to restart,type:EXIT Remove
cd,restart
pc.Retry components once in xp.
