The Quick way to remove this window is CRTL+ALT+DEL.
Under Programs Select END NOW.
I contacted MS about this problem.
They Told Me That when installing MSN products over Conterfeit Software is
one of the reasons this problem pops up.
Yes, I did try this with my Conterfeit copy of XP PRO.
What can I say...... now I paid for it Smile
ps: THE UPDATES STILL WILL NOT LOAD even when SP2 installed.

Check the CD key that is on the installed version. WGA may still be
reading the old "counterfit" code.

If you have any HP printing unit (printer or combo: print-copy-scan) is
possible, that installation of HP Status Monitor is incorrect, try
reinstall unit software. Recommended full uninstall and cleen install
of unit software.

status.msi fix. If you have HP software on your PC (printers etc) load
the disc when the pop up window shows a '1' location. Click on Browse
and open the HP disc from the CD drive. An icon named status should
show up . Click on this icon and load. This will get rid of the
status.msi loop

Thanks! It was the HP program causing this. I put the disk in and it
cleared the problem up.
